Nic "Chap" Chapman, born and raised outside of south Philadelphia. Chap always had a passion for art, cars, but most importantly - for making dollars. In the 2022 post-covid world, while working as an automotive sales professional at one of the highest volume Subaru Dealerships in the northeast region. It was then that the idea of Tristate Auto n Home (TANH) came to fruition. "At the time, the car business as a career was so good to me that I had to make a tough decision; Stay where its safe, or go out on my own, and be the entrepreneur I was already born to be." The goal was simple, get people home and auto in order to enjoy their stay WHEREVER they may be traveling to. With that thought in mind, and the skills of a seasoned automotive professional, TANH Rentals became Chap's main focus. the only problem was figuring out how to do it all -- with next to no startup cash. "The funny part about life is that its never how we intend to start, but life has this funny way of pushing us to the exact moment in space, and time that we need to be at."  As a teen Chap always kept the goal in mind to be his own boss, and TANH became his pathway to do precisely that. "I was working 60+ hours a week at the dealership, with no days off it felt like, and although the earnings were phenomenal, I realized that the one thing I could never buy back was my time. And so I took my shot, I left a multi six-figure career... and I never turned back." Fast forward just 3 years later and TANH Rentals has made its presence felt along the entire east coast. With multiple partnerships, and 5 locations and counting spanning from Wilmington Delaware all the way down to Dallas Texas, the possibilities for TANH are endless. And all because of finding the courage to bet on himself, something that Chap is no stranger too. He always gives credit to one of his biggest inspirations, his late grandfather James E. Harris. "Life is short & nothing is promised. Better to fail trying, than to die never knowing. The first part I figured out on my own, the second part my pops taught me that. And so everyday, I keep that at the forefront of my mind, and I push my boundaries in his name." With plenty of political uncertainty, and the looming fear of economic downturn, Its safe to say that for the future of TANH, failure is NOT an option.
